ABOUT CITLALI

Citlali writes stories for kids with big feelings—and bigger imaginations—who are searching for their place in the world. Her hope is to help children of color see themselves having universal adventures and know that their voices and stories matter.

She began pursuing her dream of writing for children in 2021. She’s completing a Certificate in Writing for Children at University of California - San Diego, and is a member of SCBWI, 12x12, and the best critique group out there.

Citlali grew up in the United States, México, and Puerto Rico. Now she lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, on the traditional land of the Ohlone People, with her husband, two kids, and a small army of stuffed animals.
